Our services are primarily about helping your charity develop a clear, impactful and focused strategy to achieve the mission, while upholding the charity values in full.
The basic products are (1) a Board and SLT Strategy document for the next five years and (2) a website-published charity strategy for the next five years. The first document goes into more detail than the second.
An initial CST session (recommend jointly with Board and SLT)
This would cover some defined strategic questions and identify areas needing more analysis:
- Charity and commercial priorities for the next 3 years – grow, consolidate, modernise, or change direction?
- What should we cease doing or dial back, in order to focus more strongly on the core priorities?
- Who are our competitors and why?
- What are the biggest emerging threats (whether ‘black swans’ or not)? How could we build resilience? Or convert threats into opportunities?
- How will the power amongst our stakeholder groups change in the next 3 years?
Follow On Strategy Development
This involves working with the Board Chair and SLT. A final document would then be presented to the Board for discussion and approval. Nine areas typically covered:
- PESTLE and SWOT
- Vision and Mission tweaks
- Charity Positioning
- Competitor review
- Reserves
- Income and Growth, including commercial trading
- Service Quality Provision
- Strategic Alliances, Natural Allies and IP
- Artificial Intelligence
Indicative charge, covering both the initial session and follow-on session = £10k+VAT. Disbursements, including travel costs and room hire are charged separately. Payment terms are 30 days from invoice date, with 30% of the agreed fee billed upfront.
